Estrella Mountain Community College

Estrella Mountain serves approximately 14,000 students per year and has locations in Avondale and Buckeye. The college offers numerous associate degrees, university transfer partnerships and multiple specialized certificate programs. In addition, the college is home to the SouthWest Skill Center. Courses are taught by more than 400 caring resident and adjunct faculty who are experts in their field. With an average class size of 22-credit students per instructor, students receive individualized attention and every opportunity to engage in the classroom experience.

New educational center opens this fall in the heart of Buckeye

Estrella Mountain Community College’s new Buckeye Educational Center will soon open in the heart of Buckeye. To be located in the historic, newly renovated original Buckeye Union High School building at Eason Ave. and 9th St., the Buckeye Educational Center will offer a variety of academic and job-training courses to help you on the path to achieve your degree or start your journey to a new career.

Utilizing six state-of-the-art classrooms and a student services office for registration, academic advisement, course placement testing, and more, Buckeye students will experience the best of Estrella Mountain even closer to home. Beginning in October, classes offered will range from beginning English composition to business to philosophy. If you are interested in short-term job training, the Buckeye Educational Center will also offer a variety of workforce programs through the college’s SouthWest Skill Center.
